Welcome to the Sixth Form

Christ's Church of England School has a distinctive Christian ethos which is at the heart of this school and provides an inclusive, caring and supportive environment where students learn and flourish in a setting shaped by Christian values. Our well-established Sixth Form has the capacity for 180 students across the two year groups. The majority of students in our Year 11 stay for Sixth Form, but we also guarantee a minimum of 10 places for external students.

It is our belief that the Sixth Form is an important developmental period for young people, and we strive to provide the best possible support to enable this transition. As well as strong academic support we offer extensive careers guidance from our dedicated Careers team.

It is with great pride that we annually send over 90% of our Year 13 students to study at universities across the country, with over a half studying at top Russell Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

At Christ’s we put significant emphasis on the importance of community. In the Sixth Form we encourage students to get involved in a wide range of enrichment opportunities, both in school and through our network of partnerships in the local area. All Sixth Formers are part of a tutor group that includes a mixture of Year 12 and Year 13 students, helping to cross year group boundaries. And through the Student Leadership team students make connections with the lower school by supporting wider school activities.

On a daily basis I am heartened by the enthusiastic and committed approach to Sixth Form life by our students and delighted to be leading a dedicated team of staff and governors who continually work on ensuring outstanding outcomes for our Sixth Form students.
